If you’ve landed here, you’ve landed on Day 1 of my “Write A Blog Post Daily for 2 Weeks” Series.
Here’s the funny thing about “Day 1″…
It’s completely arbitrary.
But there is something exciting about Day 1. We notice this in diets, on New Year’s Day, or whenever we start a new journey.
Because starting is fun. And I think we should use that to our advantage.
Why am I doing this?
I’ve been falling off the writing wagon. I haven’t been putting in the time like I was in the beginning of the year. I don’t like that. I want to become a better writer. I want to be one of those writers where you want to read every word on the page. Guys like Derek Sivers, Pat Walls, Stew Fortier, Harry Dry, or Daniel Bourke.
They write. I read.
I’d like to be that type of writer for some readers.
And guess what? I know the only way to be one of those writers is to write a lot. A lot. A lot.
Why “two weeks”?
Two weeks is short. I can wrap my head around 14 days. It’s not overwhelming and daunting.
At the same time, I know getting in motion is often the hardest part. Once we make the decision to ship work on a daily basis, there’s no moaning and groaning. It just is going to get done.
So here’s to Day 1.
Let there be many more Day 1’s in our future.
