What diet(s) have you done in the past? Any recommendations here?
The diet I’ve stuck to is real whole foods. Similar to Whole 30. Most of my diet consists of steak, ground turkey, ground beef, chicken, fish, sweet potatoes, potatoes, white rice, and fruits (probably could use a bit more veggies). My basic rule is if it comes from the ground or an animal… it’s okay to go into my body. If it doesn’t… no Bueno.
For the two 45 minute workouts, does this include walking?
Yes, walking is allowed! It’s the most underrated form of exercise.
What other workouts have you done outdoors?
Runs, weighted vest walks, jump rope are my big three outdoor activities. In the past, I’ve played tennis, basketball, and created circuits of pushups/running/situps/squats.
What have been your go-to or favorite workouts for the 45 minute slots?
Outdoor workouts listed above. For the indoor workouts, I stick to weights or yoga.
Any other general recommendations / insights would be much appreciated.
Accountability is the biggest factor. There are likely going to be points in this program you’re going to want to quit. You’re only making it harder on yourself if you’re not accountable to someone you respect (and who might be disappointed in you if you didn’t finish).
Preparation is huge. Overprepare for meals, workouts, etc.
Other than that, I would recommend diving into some of the posts I wrote about here, here, and here.
Best of luck!
